OSLO STRAPS
Also known as Osro Straps
BETTER CONNECTIONS
Oslo straps or Osro straps are used in unstable ground conditions where there is seismic activity. They are used to improve and ensure better connection between surface support and bolts. The straps are used to support fractured ground between rock anchors by providing a continuous mesh between the anchor points.
Oslo straps or Osro straps may be bolted to the rock by two or more rock anchors and can be bent to conform to the rock surface. Because anchors locate at any point through the mesh, the strap may be used with any rock bolt spacing.
OSLO ADVANTAGES
-
Large aerial coverage for fractured rock.
-
Improves load distribution between the roof bolts
-
Available in a range of lengths and widths and can be tailor made to the mine’s requirements
-
Accommodates all bolt spacing patterns
-
Large support areas can be created by overlapping the edges of the sheets
-
They allow for larger deformation and load distribution as the longitudinal rods are able to slip through the looped cross ties, ensuring containment even with large strata movements
SPECIFICATIONS
- All wire rod used in the manufacturing process is obtained from Arcelor Mittal
- Material certificates are available on request
- 450 MPA material used for length rods
- 600+ MPA material used for cross rods
