Through our simple effective welded mesh solutions, we’ve created a product range that demonstrate safety first and foremost, increased productivity and reduce operating costs.

Our welded mesh range, is a registered design pattern for underground roof/wall support applications.

It is pre-patterned with a drilling pattern in order to help the operators underground to keep the support rule. Sebotka Mining understands that environments are constantly changing underground and believe it is important to manufacture support that will suit the specific underground conditions. We are therefore able to increase or decrease wire by still using the “Rock Skin” pattern in order to apply the drilling rule.

• OS’ROCK SKIN

Os’Rock Skin has the benefits of both Welded Mesh and Oslo Straps. This combination of solutions has the ability to half installation time in areas where ground conditions call for the simultaneous application of welded mesh and Oslo straps.

  • Os’Rock Skin has increased support.
  • Saves significant time on installation and costs.
  • Less stock keeping items to order and take underground.
  • Scaling rocks are kept in place, due to Os’Rock Skin’s increased support.

The Os’Rock Skin can be developed to suit a specific environment, for both vertical and horizontal strapping.

If primary and secondary support is being installed simultaneously Os’Rock Skin can be manufactured to incorporate the prepatterned drilling lines to assist roof bolters in maintaining prescribed support rules and for ease of inspection.

The additional lines also increase support around the borders and in the centre.

OTHER SPECIALISED MESH SOLUTIONS

FOCUSED MESH SUPPORT

This mesh performs as a Super Mesh combined with additional strands in one unit. The additional wire allows support over the 200mm width of the sheet where the “Focused Support Mesh” supports the crucial area moreover the surrounding areas of the slip, fault, dyke or other ground conditions.

  • It allows installation of the bolts under a supported area of mesh that forms part of the sheet without the need for two separate applications.

  • The wires are more concentrated towards the centre of the sheet to ensure active stability in the event of a rock burst specifically associated with the hard rock mines.

TOTAL SUPPORT MESH

  • Like our Rock Skin, Total Mesh Support has a drilling pattern which operates to maintain the prescribed support rule. The reinforced border, maximizes the shear strength around bolted areas.
  • Total Mesh Support is designed for environments were skin failure fragments are smaller than average.
  • The overlap connection between sheets provides improved shear and load strength.
